Donations Sought for the Farmers' Market

The Farmers' Market was founded to benefit the people in the local community.  We began because the WIC program began issuing coupons redeemable only in Farmers' Markets.  We wanted our neighbors to have access to this benefit and the healthy nutritious food while helping local small farmers.

Along the way we added other services for people.  We sell bread, lunches, coffee and donuts.

Then we had a great idea!  We used to have a thrift store which sold quality used items and which helped us maintain this beautiful land-marked community asset, the most interesting example of 19th Century Church Architecture in America according to Steve Byrns, a local person, architect, and interested in the architectural history of Yonkers and New York.

We discovered that this is a service much needed in the community.  Yes, we like to give clothing to the homeless, but many people in the neighborhood are trying to stretch their hard earned dollars and appreciate an attractive gently used clothing item to vary their wardrobe.

However to help people in this way we need Contributions!  If you, or a friend or neighbor, are cleaning out your home and you need to donate gently used items, things you no longer need but feel someone might enjoy, consider giving them to the church.  This way the church and the community both benefit.

We accept donations Monday to Friday 9:30 to 1PM and by appointment.  Call (914) 963-3033
